Hello, friend. My name is Flonne Pocket and I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon. Here is some of my earliest work:
That's me tending to a garden in the Alps. I was four years-old. Whenever I'm struggling creatively, I look at this piece to remind myself why I draw.
From the very beginning, I've used art to bring my inner world into the outer one. I love to create characters, tell stories, express myself, and indulge in daydreams. I often make gifts for the people most important to me, using art to get closer no matter our physical distance.
Looking at my work over the years, you can learn a lot about my state of mind, my relationships, my sense of humour... Some of it is really very silly. I had fun making this archive because it reminded me that, no matter what my art actually looks like, I feel glad to have made it. I love my work for what it is— I really do! In five or ten years, I'll be thinking just as fondly of the art I'm making today.
